In 1976, Elliott T. Dennis received his law degree from the University of North Dakota. Upon graduation, he moved back to Alaska and was admitted to practice law before all the courts in Alaska. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and United States Claims Court in 1987 and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1988.
